NEWARK, N.J. — AllShifts, a healthcare staffing platform specializing in per-diem and short-term assignments, introduced True Instant Pay for W-2 employees on Tuesday, marking a first in the staffing industry.
The new feature allows W-2 healthcare workers, including per-diem nurses, aides, and allied health professionals, to access 100% of their net pay immediately after shift approval.
Unlike similar services previously limited to 1099 contractors, AllShifts’ program calculates taxes and withholdings in real time, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws.

Accessible through the AllShifts mobile app, the free service enables workers to submit shift hours, receive facility approval, and see funds deposited into their bank accounts or debit cards within seconds. The platform handles all payroll taxes, deductions, and year-end reporting.
AllShifts, which has offered same-day payouts since 2023, is the only provider to extend instant pay to its W-2 workforce, bridging a gap in the industry.
